What Will She Wear Wednesday

Monday, February 22, 2010 1 comments
So I debated whether I should post this one, which is why it's late. When I had picked out my outfit and laid it out on the bed it looked great together, but then I actually put it on....well here's the pic:
It actually doesn't look bad together, but I think what was throwing me off and why I didn't care for it was after I put my shoes on. I like my pants/slacks to go below my shoes or to graze the floor, but these didn't. They stopped just below my ankle so most of my shoe was visible and i didn't really like that. Kind of looked, to me, like I was wearing highwaters. Then I must've sabotaged my outfit even more because I was drinking some Cran-Grape juice and spilled it on my blouse and pants! Luckily the spills landed on the black part of my blouse and since my pants are black you couldn't even see it!
Well since this outfit was a bust I'll mention my shoes are by Nine West (one of my faves) and maybe that's where I should've started this outfit in the first place, my shoes!
I'd say here's to something new this Wednesday, but it's only suppose to be 48 degrees so I see another sweater in my future and probably my Uggs, yet again.

Our Super Bowl Spread

Monday, February 15, 2010 1 comments

I’m a bit late in posting this, but I finally uploaded my photos!

Here’s my first ever Digiorno pizza and boy was it delish! Next time we’ll have to try the thin crust, we did add some extra pepperonis to it because you can never have enough pepperonis!

My hubby also made his version of Texas Roadhouse’s Cheese Fries he made two and thought that we would have some leftovers but we didn’t because my brother came over and took some to go since he was still at the hospital with his girlfriend and the newest addition to our family.

My BTFF had mentioned that in my Super Bowl Menu I didn’t mention wings and I said we’re having meatballs and so we didn’t need wings…well my hubby decided that he needed some chicken and he also wanted to grill so he grilled some chicken. So here’s what our spread looked like once everything was finished cooking. We definitely had leftovers, but we shared with my brother and parents and Lil Seal turned into a chicken by the end of the week!

And my finally thoughts on the Super Bowl: NEXT SEASON!!! Smiley Faces

What Will She Wear Wednesday

Thursday, February 11, 2010 1 comments

It’s time for WWSWW, a few hours late. Today was yet another freezing day! We never left the low 30’s. Yes! That’s cold for me, I’m from California. I don’t like hosiery, I don’t wear hosiery, hosiery is the devil! That is why I wore my Uggs to the office and carried my ‘real’ shoes with me and since I had to walk over to the courthouse I knew wasn’t going to freeze my toes! So here is what I wore on my walk to the courthouse:

I’ve switched to my pink Preston and York coat that I bought at Dillard’s last year. It keeps me warm and it has a hood (that you can’t see) and it’s a zip up instead of button. My gloves/mittens I bought last year (January 2009) at Aeropostale. I went in there during the holidays looking for a backup pair but unfortunately I couldn’t find any. The thing I love about these gloves is that they’re fingerless gloves including the thumb, which is important if you text, twitter, etc. often. And of course my warm, toasty and comfy Uggs.

Here’s what I was wearing underneath. I completely forgot about this sweater. It’s one my MIL gifted me for Christmas 2008. It’s by Crystal-Kobe. My slacks are from Old Navy, I bought them about 4 years ago. They’re definitely meant to be worn with heels, but in this weather, that’s not going to happen! So there you have it, what I wore Wednesday! Have I mentioned I’m ready for Spring??

Our Super Bowl Menu

Wednesday, February 3, 2010 3 comments

Since my team is playing in the Super Bowl, I plan on staying home and watching the game from the comfort of my living room with full control of the remote. With that said our menu will still probably sound like we’re feeding the entire block! Here is what we have planned so far:

DiGiorno Pizza (that is my hubby)

Cheese Fries a la Texas Roadhouse (that would be me and made by my hubby)

Meatballs (made by my hubby and one of MamaMerk’s favorites)

Some sort of veggie tray (my hubby)

Maybe some dessert (I’m trying my best to stay away from sweets)

That’s what we have so far. I hope that beer does not enter the picture. Don’t get me wrong, I am not a teetotaler, I do enjoy a Mango Martini every now and then, but I have had enough beer and its evilness to last me a life time!

What Will She Wear Wednesday

Today was pretty simple since the forecast called for a 100% chance of rain by noon. I wore by trusty Ariat boots. My Levi 515’s and my fleece pink sweater. Thanks to Mr. Punxsutawney Phil, I will probably keep wearing my jeans and boots for a bit longer. I can’t wait for Spring!

I did glitz it up a bit and I wore my necklace that my mom gifted me for Mother’s Day last year and my bracelet that my MIL gifted me this past Christmas.

RIP Chewie You Will Be Missed

Tuesday, February 2, 2010 3 comments

All of Us

I debated on whether to post this but there’s some of you who know who Chewie is and it wouldn’t be right if I didn’t tell you now and one day you ask me how Chewie is doing and bam! I tell you he’s passed away. Unfortunately he didn’t go peacefully, but that’s not how we want to remember him. We did have to tell Lil Seal what happened (to an extent) because Chewie had been dog-napped in the past so we didn’t want him to think that there was a chance that Chewie would be coming back.

Chewie, I’ll miss you and your little bark that to your ears sounded like a Rottweiler's.  I loved the fact that you enjoyed the shirts and sweaters we bought you. I loved that you didn’t care what kind of pillow we gave you to sleep on as long as it was a pillow. I loved how you thought you were a human boxer and would box with PapaSeal. I loved how you didn’t mind wearing a lobster costume to compliment Lil Seal’s Chef costume. Most of all I loved that you came into our lives and gave us some great memories. We’ll miss you.

Super Bowl Week Begins

Monday, February 1, 2010 1 comments

Yes, I’m excited! My team has made it to the Super Bowl! As if there was ever any doubt, okay I may have had some if they had to play the Chargers since they seem to be our Achilles heel, but they didn’t so off to the Miami they go. And to all those people who said Coach Caldwell made the wrong/poor decision of sitting his starting players toward the end of the season and foregoing an undefeated season, I say, TAKE THAT! Need proof of what a good decision Coach Caldwell made? Here it is: Wes Welker. They already knew they would play in the Wild Card game the following week, so what was there to prove? That you’re not the type of team to rest your starting players even if you’re already in the playoffs and the game your playing is meaningless to the team  in the overall scheme of things? Well congrats, you proved the Colts right! Resting your starting players when you already know you’ve made the playoffs is the way to go. Sure having an undefeated season would’ve been great and would’ve put you in the record books next to the Dolphins, but it wouldn’t have meant squat if you didn’t make it to the Super Bowl and even less if you don’t win the Super Bowl because you’re out a key player that could’ve been resting.

With that said, feel better Freeney we need you out there! Tomorrow’s post: Our potential Super Bowl menu.
