Yes, I’m excited! My team has made it to the Super Bowl! As if there was ever any doubt, okay I may have had some if they had to play the Chargers since they seem to be our Achilles heel, but they didn’t so off to the Miami they go. And to all those people who said Coach Caldwell made the wrong/poor decision of sitting his starting players toward the end of the season and foregoing an undefeated season, I say, TAKE THAT! Need proof of what a good decision Coach Caldwell made? Here it is: Wes Welker. They already knew they would play in the Wild Card game the following week, so what was there to prove? That you’re not the type of team to rest your starting players even if you’re already in the playoffs and the game your playing is meaningless to the team in the overall scheme of things? Well congrats, you proved the Colts right! Resting your starting players when you already know you’ve made the playoffs is the way to go. Sure having an undefeated season would’ve been great and would’ve put you in the record books next to the Dolphins, but it wouldn’t have meant squat if you didn’t make it to the Super Bowl and even less if you don’t win the Super Bowl because you’re out a key player that could’ve been resting.
With that said, feel better Freeney we need you out there! Tomorrow’s post: Our potential Super Bowl menu.
