Why do I keep this job? Luke has told me we could run the bookstore together. Maybe because I still want some independence, maybe it’s the approaching wedding, but really I don’t know how much more I can take. Here’s what I'm talking about. I started a new job a few months ago to help pay for the wedding and I love most of the people I work with, but there are a couple of people who seem to think that if I’m gone (including when I have to call in sick to take care of Clary) that my desk somehow turns into a trashcan. Exhibit A:

Oh yes that would be the outside wrapping of letter sized paper left on my desk while I was out sick for one day, waiting for me when I came back to work the next day. The printer happens to be next to my desk so I guess for some people it’s easier to drop the trash on my desk instead of the actual trashcan.  And the rest of the paper? Faxes and mail that some think belong in a pile on top of my keyboard instead of my tray. I tell you some of these people make most Downworlders look like girl scouts! And the actual trashcan’s location?

On the other side of my desk, about two feet away! Oh yes. So I have to visit another office this week and decided to leave a reminder at my desk…

I think Clary’s rubbing off on me.
