I finally put my 'I drive like a Cullen' decal that my BTFF @Cari_tx gifted me for Christmas, on my Jeep. My hubby hadn't seen it yet, or pretended not to until we went to Sam's this weekend. After loading up the groceries he gets in the Jeep and says 'I need to make a bumper stickers that says I ate a Cullen' Yes I LOL'd! Then I asked him who would want that bumper sticker? His answer..'The wolves' Gotta love my hubby!

My connection is slower than dial-up tonight so I'm giving you a quick look at what I wore today. The top half version. 
Today I actually got to wear the necklace and earrings my BTFF got me for Christmas! Yay! I didn't think I'd get to wear this until Spring. When I was taking the full body pic though I couldn't get my necklace and earrings to show up so I had to take a headshot...or two. Aren't they a great color? The necklace is actually pretty long so I was able to wrap it once so I can get two different looks out of it and the earrings aren't heavy so I could wear them all day. As you can see my sweater is by Ralph Lauren ( a fave) I've actually had this sweater for a while, but since it's white I don't wear it too often.
So there you go a preview of what I wore today.

My Hubby: my dad suggested we do our taxes with his account this year

Me: why?

My Hubby: because I bought the work truck so it would be a business expense

Thinking to myself: oh sure because you've done a great job keeping track of your business expenses this year.

Me: how much does he charge?

My Hubby: I don't know, but my dad said he would give us a discount because this is our first visit.

Thinking to myself: oh just great! Keep your eyes on the road, keep your eyes on the road...

Me: what's his name?

My Hubby: I forgot, but my mom knows who he is and says he's really good and has a reputable business

Thinking to myself: so this guy could have an office at the flea market and you want us to hand over all our socials, bank info, checking info etc?!? Your son is in the car so you can't hit the eject button...keep your eyes on the road...

After a moment of silence...

My Hubby: well we don't really have a choice, my dad said we have to..

Thinking to myself: WTF?!? (only place I really cuss is in my mind) I'll put a call in to his mom tomorrow and find out this snake charmer's name

My mother-in-law bought me these Reaction by Kenneth Cole shoes! They're called Aces Wild, I <3 them! They comfortable and stylish. So far I've worn them with my jeans only, but I'm sure I can wear them with my dressier pants for church. That's all for now. Had to show some shoe love!

Please forgive my tardiness! We had to prepare for the wonderful cold snap we're now going through - hello 3 degree wind chill - and had to take our dogs to the groomers and give them a DIY bath. I should've recorded our grooming attempt, it might have gone viral! Just ask Suzi. After that fun time we headed to Lowes to get some covering for our outside pipes (nothing like waiting until the last possible minute) and they were all out - 600 covers that morning all gone by noon! They were very helpful though and showed my hubby some insulation he could use so we bought some of that for ourselves and my mother-in-law. To show her thanks she bought us dinner at Texas Roadhouse - love their rolls and cheese fries! So after dinner we headed over to her house and my hubby installed the insulation and we finally headed home. So without further ado what I wore yesterday:

I had to take a pic of my Christmas present I got from my wonderful neighbor and friend, not only because I ♥ the Longhorns but they're also playing tonight! Hook 'em Horns! This is the bag I take to the courthouse currently it's holding my current read Blood Promise and some snacks and of course Artoo and PE.

I'm also wearing my creamy Ralph Lauren sweater it's a bit lighter than my other bulky sweaters, but the temp got up to about 58 degrees so I was comfortable - unlike today! I have on my usual Lee Rider jeans and making their first appearance ( I think ) my Uggs! I got these last Christmas and everyone loves to joke with me about my 'Eskimo' boots. Who's laughing now? Not me 'cuz my feet are nice and warm in this 20 degree temp we're having. So there you have it. What I wore...yesterday!

After having a great, early Christmas dinner at my parent’s this past Friday my hubby and I decided to drive around the Country Club area of our town. In the past you could count on some of the streets to have the trees lit up to look like candy canes, but this year there were plenty of houses that out did themselves! This year there’s even a company that is doing carriage rides around the Country Club area. It’s pretty neat and kind of reminds me of the carriage rides you take when you visit NYC. So of course I did take some photos for your viewing enjoyment! One of my more recent favorite places to stop is a tree in front of Hamilton Park that the owner definitely puts some time and effort into decorating. They must add more lights every year because I don’t remember it being this bright last year!




If you live in Wichita County and drive into Wichita Falls often this house and its tree is a must see!

This is a really cute addition underneath the tree. So after I jumped back in the Jeep and my hubby drove around some more we came upon these houses…
   
Now this house and its lights we could see from a mile a way! The first thing that popped into my head was the movie Christmas Vacation!

These trees are actually off to the side of the house, the house is decorated pretty plain-jane compared to the trees.

And last, but certainly not least, the final stop on our tour:
  
I heard lots of oh’s and ah’s coming from the cars as they drove by this house. I can’t remember the street it was on but if you drive through Country Club I’m sure you’ll find it, since it’s the house next to the one above. Well that’s all the photos for now. I’m sure there’ll be more and maybe some video since we have a couple of houses to drive by that aren’t in the Country Club area plus the Burns Fantasy of Lights on the MSU Campus. My husband made the comment that the BFL seems to be shrinking, he says he remembers when the displays would start as soon as you drove up and now you have to drive in the lane for a bit before you see the first display. Either way we’ll be making a visit soon! So stay tuned there’s more to come!

Once again today was COLD! Not as bad as last Wednesday, but cold nonetheless. So I did wear my trusty brown coat again today and underneath my outfit for Wednesday was…

A long sleeve  2 in 1 sweater vest blouse by Austin Clothing Co. for Academy that I don’t really like, this is the second time I’ve worn it, but it keeps riding up, so if anyone wants to trade with me, I’ll trade my medium 2 in 1 sweater vest for your medium sweater just leave me a comment with what you’d like to trade and your email address so I can contact you. And my Levi bootcut 515’s ,which I ♥ wearing for many reasons, one being that if I’m wearing them that means my workouts at the Y must be working! Saving the best for last, my boots by Antonio Melani, I bought these earlier this year when they were on sale, that’s right, just call me Mrs. Frugualista! I can wear them all day and walk to and from the courthouse without my feet aching that is a major plus in my book! You can’t really see them since I didn’t wear them over my jeans maybe I’ll take a pic of them and post them later. So there you have it my outfit for Wednesday.
